If you are currently experiencing homelessness or if you're at risk of losing your home, you should seek advice immediately. Please register for support through our Notification Form.

At Home in Guernsey can provide emotional and practical support as well as connect you with other agencies and services who can help.

We are working with the States of Guernsey to end homelessness and your experience is important for us to understand.

If you do not want or need support, please still complete the Notification Form leaving your personal information section black. This will help us to make sure we capture as many people's experiences as possible.

Emergency accommodation

St Julian’s House, in Vauxlaurens, St Peter Port, is Guernsey’s only dedicated emergency accommodation provider. It is open to anyone over 18 years old. Phone 01481 220 260 to find out more.

Shower and laundry facilities

The Guernsey Welfare Service (The Caves, Upper Mansell Street, St Peter Port) offers showers and laundry facilities at its base near Trinity Square, and also runs a foodbank.

Applying for social housing

Social housing is provided by the States and by the Guernsey Housing Association (GHA). The eligibility criteria and the application process is the same for both. Applicants for social housing are put on a single waiting list used by both the States and GHA.

Eviction

If you are a tenant who is being threatened with eviction or a landlord who wants to evict a tenant, Citizens Advice Guernsey has produced two guides. They are intended to clarify the eviction process and make sure that tenants and landlords understand their rights and responsibilities.



The Royal Court has also produced this guidance for landlords who are thinking about starting an eviction process .
